RFID technology, “Radio Frequency Identification”, is used to identify an object, tracking it and to know the characteristics remotely.
The information is transmitted by an electronic and independent chip of several millimeters emitting radio waves, attached or incorporated in the object.
This chip can be read without line of sight and can penetrate thin layers of materials such as paint or plastic in the case of a card.
Just like a fingerprint, RFID chip is unique: no error is possible when an object is recognized. It is also waterproof and shock-resistant to be used as frequently as durable.
